If you’re looking for the unique know-how of a fellow rider you’ve come to the right place. I’ve been involved with motorcycles and off-road bikes ever since I can remember, ripping up the family garden with my first 50cc and progressing to junior scrambles, before passing my test and going through a variety of makes and models, from Enduro bikes to Triumph Bobbers. It’s an obsession that’s still going strong – from riding twin shock trials in the Derbyshire Dales and beyond, to ongoing restoration projects.
Wheels in motion
I built my first set of wheels during a rebuild of my Ossa MAR. I was struggling to find someone nearby to help and didn’t want to wait for weeks, so I got to work and rebuilt them myself. Word soon spread with more and more people asking me to build their wheels, from the bike club I’m part of, to the local restoration shop, and IdleRide was born.

Today, we’re an established restorer and creator of high quality spoked wheels for off-road and classic motorcycles, trained and certified by a leading British wheel builder. Giving you the precision and performance of an expert, with the dedication and care of a true believer.
